#Pulau Sebang dialysis center needs your donation
Last week we received a call from Mr. Tan, who is in charge of the dialysis center in Pulau Sebang, and he told us that their dialysis center needs PPE and other protective clothing materials, so our chairman Edward drove to Tampin to donate supplies to them.

During the interview, we learned that this dialysis center is actually voluntary, and it is specially set up to help poor people who need dialysis. This really touched us, and we also learned that the dialysis center has been operating with donations from the public, and because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the past two years, the donations have also decreased.

Tampin is located in a small border town between Malacca and Negeri Sembilan. Before this Pulau Sebang dialysis center was established, people in Tampin needed to drive to the Malacca Center for dialysis if they needed one, and medical treatment expenses have to be paid at their own expense, which is simply a huge financial burden on the poor. Kidney dialysis requires dialysis three times a week. If it takes two hours to go back and forth to Malacca each time, and another 4 hours for each dialysis, this will greatly reduce the working hours of dialysis people. This makes the poor people worse.

In our last episode of the charity journey video, we also interviewed Mr. Tan, the person in charge of the center (video link: https://www.facebook.com/nextgenlink.org/videos/557257069023063), and Mr. Tan said that their dialysis centre faces losses every year, so it is very urgent to need public donations to continue its operations. If the center is closed under the burden of financial pressure, it will be the worst news for the poor in Tampin who need dialysis. They are forced to go to the center of Malacca for dialysis.
